If you've ever wondered why your customers can delete specific items from their cart, it may be due to the way your builders are configured. This article will clarify the concept of "unwrapped" builders and how they impact the shopping experience.
"Unwrapped" builders are designed to add individual items separately to the cart instead of bundling them together as a single product. This means that each item within a builder becomes an independent product in the cart. Consequently, customers have the ability to remove or modify these individual items within their cart.
Preventing Item Deletion:
If you prefer to prevent customers from deleting items from their cart, the solution is to have the bundle product added instead of individual items. If you've previously requested to have your builders "unwrapped" by our support team, it's essential to note that this process cannot be reverted. Once your builders are "unwrapped," the only option is to recreate them from scratch to make them "wrapped" again.
If it's absolutely necessary for your builders to remain "unwrapped," we can suggest a workaround. You can modify the "Complete" button's behavior to direct customers directly to the checkout page.
1. When creating a new builder or editing an existing one, locate the "When complete, send customers to the:" option.
2. Choose "Checkout" from the dropdown list.
By doing the above, customers will skip the cart page entirely, and they won't have the option to remove items from their cart since they'll proceed directly to the checkout.
