Welcome to Bundle Builder! We’re excited to help you create and sell product bundles effortlessly. Before you get started, it’s important to ensure that your Shopify store meets the necessary eligibility requirements to use the Bundle API, which our app relies on. This guide will walk you through what you need to know to determine if Bundle Builder is right for you.
Shopify Eligibility Requirements
Shopify has set specific requirements for using the Bundle API. Here’s what you need to check:
1. Shopify Plan: Ensure that you are on a Shopify plan that supports the Bundle API. This feature is available to stores on the following plans:
• Shopify
• Advanced Shopify
• Shopify Plus
2. Product Limitations: Your store should not exceed the product and variant limits set by Shopify. The current limits are:
• Maximum of 50,000 products
• Maximum of 3,000 variants per product
3. Inventory Tracking: Enable inventory tracking for products you wish to include in your bundles. This ensures accurate inventory management when products are sold individually or as part of a bundle.
4. Sales Channels: Verify that your store is using compatible sales channels. The Bundle API is supported on:
• Online Store
• Point of Sale (POS)
• Buy Button
• Shopify Payments
5. Store Compliance: Your store must comply with Shopify’s terms of service and policies. This includes being in good standing without any restrictions or violations.
When Bundles Might Not Work
While Bundle Builder is a powerful tool, there are certain scenarios where bundles might not work with your store. Here are some examples:
• Draft Orders: Bundles may not function correctly if you’re creating a draft order on behalf of a customer or if a B2B customer is submitting their orders as drafts at checkout.
• Shopify POS: If you’re using Shopify POS to sell your products in person in retail stores, popups, and other locations, bundles might not be supported.
• Special Purchase Options: Bundles cannot be included or sold as special purchase options, such as subscriptions, pre-orders, or try-before-you-buy (TBYB).
